Description

Departure from La Villa, where you can park at the hydroelectric power station, where we take path no. 4 up through the forest. To avoid staying on the road all the time, you can take the shortcut up through the forest. When we reach the crossroads where the signs indicate Piz la Ila on the right (start of the World Cup ski slope), we continue straight on 4B towards Utia la Freina. The panorama opens up over the skiing area of Alta Badia, which is covered by large meadows in summer. We continue on path no. 23 to the Pralongia stream. From there we descend to the junction with path no. 22, which leads to San Cassiano at the Piz Sorega chair lift, from where we then take path no. 11, which follows the river back to La Villa. This path is called Tru d'Artisc and features modern sculptures. It is a long, low-altitude hike, ideal for 'stretching the legs' and suitable for everyone, also because it can be lengthened or shortened as required. The section along the river is definitely of difficulty T. Those who do not feel up to going to the plateau on foot can always take one of the lifts that are also open in summer. The breadth of the panorama is, however, of noteworthy beauty.
