Pond
Introduction
Laghetto without a name, just 'Laghetto'. Enclosed by a ruined dam, a few hundred metres before reaching it is the Chironico fishermen's hut (locked). Its waters feed the Ticinetto, which flows into the Ticino downstream of the Biaschina gorges. Access routes: - From Chironico, Cala (splendid settlement at approx. Q1600), bridge over the Ticinetto, Laghetto. - From Sonogno: Cognora hut, Passo di Piatto, Laghetto. The crossing from Chironico to Sonogno (or vice-versa) can be done in a day, although there are about 1500 metres of altitude difference. From Passo di Piatto, an alpine path (T3-T4) leads to Alpe Barone (in Verzasca) with its hut, and from where you can reach the Laghetto Barone.
