The hut's location makes it easily accessible from Gressoney-la-Trinité via the Stafal-Gabiet cable car, followed by a short walk along a panoramic path through alpine pastures and meadows. For those wishing to explore further, the hut is also the ideal starting point for various traverses and ascents.
From the hut, panoramic traverses can be made to other huts in the area, such as the Città di Mantova hut and the Gnifetti hut, which are located on the slopes of Monte Rosa and offer access to more challenging routes at higher altitudes. For experienced mountaineers, Oreste's Hütte is an ideal base for mountaineering ascents to peaks such as the Corno del Camoscio and the Balmenhorn, coveted destinations offering spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks and valleys below.
