Migliorero Refuge, from Ponte del Medico

Access

By car, exit the motorway at Cuneo Est and continue to Borgo San Dalmazzo, Demonte, Vinadio. From Pianche, turn left to Bagni di Vinadio. Afterwards, climb up to the hamlet of Besmorello, continuing to the Medico bridge (1544 m - last few kilometres of dirt road, usually in good condition)

Description

0h00' We ascend the easy forest road that skirts the Pisciai waterfall. There are a few short cuts, but the most comfortable route is always preferred. Having reached a vast plateau, the destination is now not too far away and the singular construction can be glimpsed. With a final effort, the hut is reached (2094m, [2h30T2]). Beneath the refuge rest the two lower Ischiator lakes.
 

In the summer period, strangely enough, they only offer a take-away service, mostly sandwiches, good sandwiches for goodness sake... but only sandwiches (summer 2021). 
After a break, we return by the outward route 2h00'
