Access

From Casfelfondo, Val di Non, signs point to the locality of Regole and the Arnica Restaurant. An asphalt road climbs up through the forest to the refreshment point where the car is left.

Introduction

Short route between Val di Non and the German-speaking area of Alta Val di Non.

Description

From an altitude of 1250 m, turn left and climb, still a stretch along the road, towards the Croce del Barba (1420 m). Once reached, immediately turn right. Two distinct forks are encountered, where you always keep to the left. After an ascent, a short, slightly more technical section is tackled, losing a few metres in altitude. Cross the Novella stream and gain altitude to the left (to the right is the way back), entering South Tyrol (the signs immediately become, only, in German!) towards the Urban farms. We now continue on the carriage road to the centre of Senale (1350 m) and its sanctuary (direction Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde). This takes about 1h45. Retrace your steps back to the turnoff on the outward journey below the Urban farms. You cross the Novella river again over another bridge, plunging between very tall trees until you reach the starting point again (1h30). 
In summary: fair day - dif. E - difference in altitude 300 m - 11 km for approx. 3h15 total + all the breaks to see the various places you come across. Average ride comfort: good, except for a short stretch
