Righi - Creto and back to Pino Soprano
Access
By car, one arrives near the upstream station of the Righi funicular, high above Castelletto.
.Introduction
Easy hike, with little difference in altitude, from the heights of Genoa into the interior.
Description
From the Righi plant (289 m), we follow the Fie path, which climbs a mule track over the nearby asphalt road. We then turn onto the so-called Val Noci aqueduct path, which pleasantly heads inland. From the fork for the Baracche, one continues horizontally, temporarily abandoning the Fie symbols. You reach Trensasco in 1h30 and in another 20' you are at Pino. Afterwards, you also abandon the Fie sign, which has partly accompanied you up to this point, continuing straight on (50'). Further on, you pass the aqueduct building. You come to the Casarile meadow. The village of Creto is about 15' away but there is no public transport to Prato (20' - tot 3h). So, since there are still not many hours of daylight, we retrace our steps back to Pino (1h - tot. 4h), to catch the train to Manin from where we board first the bus and then the funicular to return to the car.
