Pietro Galassi Refuge at Monte Antelao

Description

Reach Rifugio Scotter (1580m) by chairlift or trail no. 228 from the chairlift car park (1240m) above S.Vito di Cadore. Follow path no. 228 for a short stretch. Path n.229 begins on the right (table) and crosses the scree which descends from Cima Scotter. At an altitude of 1870m, the junction for path no. 227 is reached, left to the Rifugio S. Marco, right to the Rifugio Galassi. The path runs narrow on the gravel that descends from the Scotter and reaches Forcella Piccola (2120 m.), here on the right the normal route up to Monte Antelao begins. Now the path widens out to the Rifugio Galassi 2018 m. Same path for the return journey or descend to Calalzo di Cadore along path no. 255.
