Fratelli Fonda Savio Refuge

Description

From the car park, we continue along the cart track (a little further on, no trespassing) through a coniferous forest until we reach Pian degli Spiriti (1896 m.).
From the plateau, crossed by a stream, we follow path no. 115 to the left and rise up between conifers and mugho trees. With a series of hairpin bends (avoid the shortcuts) we take a left under the rocks of Col dei Tocci.
The forest begins to thin out as we move diagonally to the right towards Cima d'Antorno, and take wide hairpin bends again until we pass the large step that takes us to Ciadin dei Tocci (2140 m, 50 minutes), from which we begin to see the Rifugio F.lli Fonda Savio, located high up.
We pause there on the left, skirting an area of boulders and a depression. We go under a scree towards the Cadin dei Tocci Peaks and the Wundt Tower.
We circle the rocks, while on the other side we distinctly see the scree leading to the Forcella del Diavolo and above the refuge and the Ciadin del Nevaio.
We arrive below a last step with tables (to the right, path 117 leads to Forcella del Diavolo); we climb up between small rocks helped by a stepped path and come out at the hut .
