On the heights of Portofino Park

Access

Portofino Vetta is easily reached by car from the Ruta. Exiting the A12 at Recco, the car goes up the Aurelia to the Ruta, where you take Viale Gaggini on the right uphill to the medium-sized car park, after several bends.

Description

In just under an hour, you climb up to Semaforo Vecchio. Nearby is a stupendous balcony, with a breathtaking view of both Santa Margherita Ligure and Camogli! You move on to the Paradiso locality where there is another exceptional overlook nearby. In less than half an hour, you are at the Semaforo Nuovo (tot. 2h outward journey) from which you can catch a glimpse of Punta Chiappa and the recovered area of the Batterie. After a stop, we set off again in the direction of Pietre Strette with a few ups and downs. After passing the so-called Buca dei Corvi area, we continue to the important junction of Pietre Strette, where, keeping to the left, we return to the car. 

In summary. Dif. T - height difference +300 m - 8 km x approx. 3h15h total + all the breaks to see the various places you come across. Convenience: almost discreet. Best period: from autumn to spring. Time: excellent. Tour interest: medium/high
