Access

From Villa Rendena, leave the state road SS 239 at Piazza C. Battisti. Immediately, you will see the first signpost for Malga Rosa. Climb up a narrow carriageway which then becomes a comfortable dirt track (check whether it is possible to get to the refreshment point by car) to the post, 1550 m.

Introduction

Lake Valsorda is a little-known, but very characteristic. The bait Delfo is very well maintained and in a booklet one can you can read about the history of this shelter (on some maps it is called Malga Valsorda di Verdesina).

Description

0h00' Just above Malga Rosa, turn left onto a wide track. Afterwards, go straight on, still on the marked path, briefly. The turnoff is unclear: if you descend and come to a ford, you have to go... back! The deviation is marked with writing and a somewhat faded blue arrow. One climbs into the forest, until one comes out of the vegetation. Fortunately, there are no detours. Having reached the building, for the time being, we continue along the stretch of water: above the building we turn right, at the only fork we can find, crossing the stream. A short stretch is more technical. You still gain height until you see the Valsorda lake below (2070 m, 2h15'). Afterwards, return to the house for a lunch break.
After the break, retrace your steps. to the Malga Rosa hut (1h short), where you can have a coffee. It is also possible to buy some good cheeses, which are produced on site!
