Take public transport to Corso Europa (Genoa), near the flyover at the motorway entrance. Head uphill and follow a narrow lane between the houses (Via Fontanin, Perasso and Inferiore Perasso).

Introduction
The initial path, despite there being no signposts – fortunately – is unambiguous, little-known and, therefore, deserted. It has a name of its own: Il Casello. In fact, it was once restored by the Levante District Council of the municipality of Genoa. Signposts had been placed at the various junctions, similar, to give you an idea, to those found on Mount Portofino. Now some have been lost and others are almost illegible… it’s a shame that nobody is taking care of their upkeep…Description
0h00' The path leads right underneath the motorway flyover. There is a short, more challenging section, and then, finally, the going levels out. Ignore a junction on the left and continue uphill until you come out onto the tarmac road, Via A. Lanfranco.
[1h00’T2] Here, keep to the right and, after a bend, leave the road for a clearly marked track that climbs up the ridge.
[1h20’T2] Further up, you’ll cross the FIE connecting path and follow it to the right until you join the Quinto-Fasce cemetery track (570m).
1h40' You lose altitude for a few minutes and then spot a barely visible cut-across that bends to the right. In less than 10 minutes, you reach the cave at an altitude of 525m. As it had been raining for several days in a row, a lot of water was gushing out, so we decided not to go inside (it’s thought to be about twenty metres long with a small pool into which the spring flows💧).
1h50' Instead of turning back, follow the access path marked by a water pipe. Carry on along it until you reach, practically, the top of the hermitage church of Santa Chiara. There are several stone benches where you can take a break.
3h15' Afterwards, take the path leading to the Quinto cemetery. The descent is quick and you emerge at the Parish Church of San Pietro in Quinto [3h50’T2] ).
